After a very long wait, Samsung has finally opened the One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) beta program for its latest flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. It's the brand's first tablet to get the beta version of the new software.
The first beta version of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is live in Samsung's home country, South Korea. The update is 3,383.37MB in size and carries firmware version X936NKOU5ZZC3 (via Samsung Commununity).
Samsung hasn't provided a detailed changelog about what changes and upgrades One UI 8.5 brings to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra over One UI 8.0. However, the new software should offer almost the same things that it does on smartphones, including a new user interface and many new features. You can check out the complete One UI 8.5 changelog for phones here or in our video below. The update also brings the March 2026 security patch, which fixes 65 security issues, to the tablet.
Samsung should make it available in other countries in the next few hours. To get the beta version of One UI 8.5 on your Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, open the Samsung Members app, search for the banner for the beta program of the new software for the device, tap on it, and register your device for it. Now, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Here you should be able to see the update available for your device. Tap on Install now to get it.
